Estimator terms
The online estimate is a guide, not a quotation.
The Vale Render estimator gives you a provisional price range based on the measurements and other information you enter. It is intended to help you decide whether the likely cost of the work is within your budget before you ask us to quote.
What the estimate is based on
The calculation uses the information entered into the estimator, including approximate elevation sizes, number of storeys, openings, access and the type of work selected.
If the measurements or other information entered are different from what we find at the property, the confirmed quotation may be different from the online estimate.
It is not a fixed price
An online estimate is not an offer, contract or fixed quotation. We need to consider the actual property before agreeing a price for the work.
This can include the condition of the existing walls, preparation required, access, scaffold, dimensions, detailing and the render system required for the property.
VAT
The provisional range displayed by the estimator includes the VAT assumption used by the calculator. The formal quotation will confirm the VAT treatment that applies to the work being quoted.
External wall insulation and difficult access
External wall insulation and projects marked as having significant access difficulties require manual review. The figure produced online should only be treated as an initial budget indication for these projects.
Saving your estimate
When an estimate is created, you are given a reference that can be used to return to the saved estimate. Estimate references are intended to remain available for 30 days.
A saved estimate shows the calculation made when that estimate was created. Saving or reopening an estimate does not reserve or fix the price for future work.
Confirmed quotations
If the indicative range is useful, you may send the estimate reference and photographs of the property. The work can then be reviewed, and a site visit arranged where needed, before a quotation is provided.
